Calculate shampoo cost per wash by dividing the price paid by the number of washes you actually get. Dose, density and double-shampooing change the result, so bottle price alone is a weak measure of premium value.
In this guide
A simple cost-per-wash calculation
Divide the price paid by the number of full washes from the bottle. For a hypothetical $44.99 shampoo, 25 washes works out to about $1.80 each; 40 washes works out to about $1.12; and 60 washes is approximately $0.75. These are illustrations. We have not independently measured how many washes one Vassia bottle provides for every hair length.
What changes the number of washes
Amount used depends on hair density, scalp area, whether you wash once or twice, and how much product you spill or over-dispense. Very long hair does not always require lathering the full length with shampoo. A cleanser that reaches the scalp effectively may be more important than simply using a larger quantity.
How to test without wasting product
Start with fully wet hair. Distribute a modest amount across your scalp, adding only as needed rather than pouring out a large dollop all at once. Rinse carefully. If you double-shampoo after heavy styling buildup, include that use in your estimate rather than pretending every wash needs the same amount.
Price per wash is not the whole story
A cheaper bottle that makes your scalp uncomfortable is not good value, and an expensive bottle that leaves fine roots flat is not good value either. Consider comfort, finish, ingredient preferences, availability, shipping and return policies. Avoid confusing premium positioning with measured superiority.
Where Vassia fits
Vassia Labs is sold in a 10 fl oz / 300 mL bottle. Compare the current product-page price with how long the bottle lasts at your usage rate and whether you like the cosmetic finish. Prices and purchase options can change.
